How law protects the powerful in an oppressive society
Law is used to maintain a state of justice in society. Society develops only when there in a stream of justice, every rich and poor get get their rights and everyone is equal in the front of laws. Oppression comes due to injustice in the society and makes it miserable. Often powerful people keep the law as handmaids in their house and use it for their own benefit.
The foundation of oppression is laid in the society when the rights of the poor man is taken away and the rich do their illegal deeds easily on the basis of their wealth. When the system of tyranny grows in the society, the danger of civil war increases, people start fighting for their rights and their law wants to eliminate their own voice.
Tyranny never allows a society to exist unless. Both the rich and the poor are equal in the front of the law, it is impossible to establish a system of justice. In societies where there is no justice system, the powerful make and abolish laws, the law only protects them, and on the other hand, the weak fight for their legal rights.
Such societies never go on the path of development, there is only chaos, restlessness prevails everywhere and groups of despair are established. Such society loses its value in the eyes of the world and only money right there.
Whoever has money does not hesitate to do any wrong doing because he knows that the laws is in my hands and function of law is also protect the powerful.
The work of the law is to establish a system of justice and fairness in the society, whoever act against the law should be punished, not to judge the difference between the rich and the poor. Punishing whoever deserves to be punished also helps in ending the system of oppression in the society. Even powerful people consider themselves under the law and refrain from doing illegal things.
